The city of Superior is again in full support of the joint effort with Duluth to bring the Google high speed fiber network to the Twin Ports. Superior had apparently decided to withdraw thinking that Google having to deal with two separate states, counties and cities would hamper the collective effort to bring the high tech internet service to this area. In a meeting yesterday, Duluth officials stressed that would not be the case and Superior decided to resume their application process. The formal application is due on March 26th, but organizers are trying to keep the Twin Ports in the Google spotlight with several promotions on the way. A casting call for actors to participate in a planned movie will be held Saturday, March 13th from 9 to 1 at 101 West 2nd Street.
